“Railmatch” acrylic yellow paint

After sorting out the wet floor under the washing machine and dishwasher I had to donate my railway board to the kitchen to replace the wet MDF the machines stood on. Oh well I wasn’t planning on using them just yet. Back the crane  I started to spray the base coat of yellow I am still not happy “Railmatch” acrylic yellow paint I thinned it to a milky consistency still will not spray well  it only seems to be the yellow I have issues with may be when the snow goes  I will try another brand I’m not going out unless I have to. Anyway progress is being made slowly on the crane front two steps forward and half back!

I managed to get another couple of coats of yellow and started on the black.

  1. The paint will most likely get better when you build it up with a few thin coats over a few days. I find with pale colours that seems to the way to do it....Then when it's just right we go and tone it down with a little weathering. But thankfully cranes tend to be reasonably clean appart from grease and oil and faded paintwork...

    Still looking good!
