A modern steel prefabricated workshop
New scratch build project. A modern steel prefabricated workshop
for Western Hills. I was inspired by the diesel depot on the Severn Valley Railway.
I’m currently waiting for textured cladding papers from www.modelrailwayscenery.com.
Tornado stalling
What seemed to be a trivial issue has escalated it to a
major rebuild. Tornado was stalling in reverse passing trough Rushmoor station.
I had to remove the station in order to see the problem. Badly laid track there
is a dip were a 4” section was fitted is so the loco was “bridging” when driven
in reverse. I need to replace the whole section to be on the safe side. I will
make a start when I have the necessary track and fishplates.

Weekend track maintenance
Weekend track maintenance, there was a doggy connection on
the frog where the wire is attached one side of the vee was live the other dead.
This is not the first time I have had to change a Peco electrofrog point with the same fault.
Bit of a fiddle job but its all done tested with a variety of stock. Ballasted and now it’s a wait for the ballast to set.
