Hornby R2915-SD 28xx
Class 2-8-0 2818 as preserved at NRM part 2
The YouChoos order arrived today tested the chip in my ESU 53900 sounds good
Back to fitting the speaker into the tender once again a lot to hacking and fettling abandoning the metal mount to the round speaker so I could fit the “baby boomer”.
I will compensate the weight difference with some lead sheet under the coal load.

Hornby R2915-SD 28xx Class 2-8-0 2818 as preserved at NRM
I have recently chipped my Hornby R2915-SD 28xx Class 2-8-0 2818 As preserved at NRM its been sat on the shelve for a while and now found the loco runs in reverse, checking the wiring the black wire is connected to pin 8 and pin 4 is connected to the red wire I was hoping to order a sound chip but with this issue I am reluctant to do so until this is sorted
Swapping the plug round didn't work it let the smoke out now the chip is dead Delving deeper the red wire from the tender pickup was poorly stripped leaving a stray strand, this was long enough to touch pin 7 it must have happened when I was swapping the plug around. Tided up the wires and fitted a cheap LAIS chip. I give it a running in then plunge for a sound chip.
